The following is the first part of a two part interview with William Tompkins, who worked for a secret think tank within the aircraft company Douglas and later went on to work for the RAND corporation on design such as rockets and also future plans on how to build a fleet of ships for the United States that would eventually venture into space. In his book he also describes what I, believe to be the true events that unfolded when the americans, not the first people from here mind you, landed on the moon.
