The last case of vaccine-preventable disease in India was reported in 2011. The non-polio acute flaccid paralysis rate in India was 13.35/100,000, where the expected rate is 12/100,000. A previous study of data from 2000 to 2010 shows that the NPAFP rate in a state correlated with the pulse rounds conducted there, and the strongest correlation was found when the number of doses from the previous 4 years were used. The present study is looking at the data till the end of the year to see if there was a decline in the incidence of NPAFP. We used the data from the Government of India.
